I don't start school until September 8, so I have plenty of chill time left. I'll be really damn busy during the rest of it, since I'm moving to a new place. Which is really fucking fun when your father is an impatient, OCD-ing, manopausing control freak.
Let's take a nice look at advantages of summer and winter:
Summer: -Swimming -No hot clothes -No worries about the winter flu
Winter: -No sunburn (unless someone is ill-conceived-in-terms-of-smartness enough to try jumping into a pool made with tanning lights) -School outings -No tornadoes, lightning, or extraordinarily high winds of death (at least where I live) -Only have to worry about ice/sleet -Brings me the most motivation -Snow men -Helloween (Heheh... Nothing's more fun than throwing rocky ice chunks at vampires and werewolves) -Christmas -New years -Skiing FUCK YEAH! -Orion is visible at night with a clear sky overhead. My favorite constellation too. -Chores outside are reduced to shoveling sidewalks
These are my opinions anyway, and clearly, winter is made of win for me.
No where near as much as I wanted to. . . though, this has been a good summer compared to most and has been better than the rest of my year I've had.
It's soon comming to an end, though. . . and I still need to work more on my book, which has gotten no more in weeks. Writer's block is not fun.
I still have yet improve on my people, though it's only recently that I've been drawing them more so that's understandable. I need to improve on my wolves/dogs/canines, though, and I draw them all the time. There's something wrong when you can draw felines better than canines when you draw canines more often.
Other than that, I need a kick in the butt to get to work on the surprise animation thing I'm working on and my "Anna Bot" webseries I'm working no with a friend. . . not to mention I need to do more on my "Knights of Belevoir," "Short of Moons," "Sapphire Jewels," and "Red Stars" comics.
So, yeah, I have lots of ideas, but I struggle to keep myself interested and focused enough to finish them out. Which is really, really annoying. . . especially for me.
...It's August already, isn't it? SNAP. Anyway, I went on a foreign exchange trip to Japan, IT WAS AMAZING. my measly two weeks before that were spent getting ready. my last 3 weeks before school starts will be doing things to well... get ready for school. You know, applying for scholarships, working on my portfolio, starting on stuff that I need to graduate.
well, i'm in the northern hemisphere BUT too close to the equator for it to make a difference. it is summer here ALL year long. AND you act as if summer means some sort of change in the pace of life or something. i'm still unemployed... thinking of perhaps going back to college... to do another bachelor's....
